Wusum Stars FC has seemed to bounce back as the Premier League frontrunner after a couple of redirections on the club such as hiring a new coach, bolstering the roster, and boosting player enthusiasm, among others.

On February 26, 2023, Wusum Stars eventually scored after a memorable goal by Issa A Tarawalie against Eastern Tigers at the Wusum grounds in Makeni.

Issa A. Tarawalie stated that playing in the Premier League is “really tough” in comparison to the Super ten where he won the Golden Boot for the North East Region.

In the end, he urged supporters to refrain from standing in their way because their responsibilities are also significant to the team.

Wusum Stars thought that his strategies were beginning to bear fruit and that he would attack each game with a different strategy.

Since they are the only team in the Sierra Leone Premier League representing the Nort-East Region, they are making every effort to escape relegation.
