Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, expressed deep gratitude to President Julius Maada Bio for his unwavering commitment to empowering and elevating young people into spaces of influence and leadership.

“I am so grateful for what President Bio has done,” Dr. Sengeh remarked.

“He’s shown us. I was kicked out of a room, he brought me in. And they put me behind on the second row, he brought me forward, he put me next to him. He didn’t stop there he turned on the mic for me to speak. I have done the same for many, many, many young people.”

Dr. Sengeh’s statement highlights not just a personal story of empowerment but also reflects the broader vision of President Bio’s administration one rooted in inclusivity, mentorship, and the belief that young people must be given a voice and platform to shape the nation’s future.

The Chief Minister emphasized that this culture of leadership support and empowerment is what fuels his own commitment to mentor and uplift the next generation. He noted that many of the young people he has worked with are now emerging as influential leaders across various sectors.

“And it’s this next generation of emerging leaders,” Dr. Sengeh continued, “that makes me believe that together, We Will Deliver on our 2039 goal.”

The “WeWillDeliver” vision anchored in innovation, transformation, and accountability represents the government’s long-term commitment to sustainable national development.

Dr. Sengeh’s remarks underline the belief that achieving this vision will require collaboration across generations, with young leaders playing a central role in driving progress.

His message serves as both a tribute to President Bio’s empowering leadership style and an inspiring call to action for young Sierra Leoneans to step forward, lead boldly, and continue the legacy of transformation.
