The Minister of Youth Affairs, Ibrahim Sannoh, and his wife, Helena Sannoh, made a memorable visit to the township of Kabala to grace a football tournament and cultural celebration. Their visit seamlessly blending the passion of sports with the pride of culture.
The visit began with a warm reception from a massive and enthusiastic crowd, mobilised by Hon. Kelly, reflecting the deep respect and admiration that the people of Kabala have for their national leadership. The excitement kicked off at Yogomaia Field, where Minister Sannoh and his wife officially launched the much-anticipated Semi-Final Match, instantly sending waves of excitement through the cheering fans and young athletes.
But the festivities didn’t stop at the football pitch. The day continued with the vibrant and much-loved Kabala Annual Cultural Show, a celebration of the region’s rich traditions, heritage, and unity. In his address to the crowd, Minister Sannoh encouraged the youth to take pride in their culture, stressing its significance as a source of identity, strength, and national cohesion.
As a symbol of their support for cultural preservation, Minister Sannoh and wife generously donated Le 10,000 to the event organisers. The donation reinforced their commitment to empowering communities and promoting the sustainability of cultural initiatives.

This visit served as a powerful reminder that youth development is not only about sports and education, but also about the intersection of culture, leadership, and community. Many believe that Kabala will surely remember this day when football roared, culture danced, and leadership connected with the people.
