Sierra Leone international Hindolo Mustapha will spend the remainder of the 2025/26 season at Championship side West Bromwich Albion after completing a deadline-day loan move from Crystal Palace.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder sealed the switch on February 2, with the deal set to run until the end of the season. Eager to make an immediate impact at The Hawthorns, Mustapha expressed his excitement after the move. “I just want to get started straight away,” he said.

Confident in what he brings to the Baggies, Mustapha added: “I’m fast, strong and creative. I want to make things happen in the final third.” His arrival is seen as a timely boost for West Brom, who have struggled for goals this campaign, scoring just 32 goals in 30 Championship matches. Sitting 21st on the table, the club is currently locked in a tense relegation battle.

Mustapha previously gained experience on loan at FC Nürnberg in Germany and is expected to inject pace, flair and creativity into West Brom’s attack as they fight for survival.

The skilful teenager rose to prominence under former Leone Stars head coach Amidu Karim and is fondly remembered for his spectacular goal against Zambia in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers in Lusaka. Introduced as a substitute, Mustapha made an instant impact, leveling the score with a stunning strike just minutes after coming on, a moment that underlined his quality on the international stage.
