Chief Minister, Dr David Moinina Sengeh, has held a strategic meeting with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Sierra Leone at State House, where the organisation introduced its Coordination and Visualisation Platform Project aimed at strengthening development planning and collaboration.

The engagement focused on enhancing cooperation between the Government of Sierra Leone and CRS, with particular emphasis on leveraging digital solutions to improve service delivery.

During the meeting, CRS presented the platform as an innovative digital tool designed to support effective planning, coordination, and monitoring of development activities nationwide. The system consolidates data into a single dashboard, providing real-time visibility of ongoing projects, identifying gaps in support, and mapping organisations operating across various locations.

According to CRS, the platform is expected to enable partners and stakeholders to collaborate more efficiently, minimise duplication of efforts, and make informed decisions on resource allocation and programme implementation.

In the presentation, the CRS Country Manager appealed for government support in rolling out staff training across relevant ministries. The proposed training, to be conducted in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology and other stakeholders, is aimed at building institutional capacity to effectively utilise the platform

In response, Dr Sengeh welcomed the initiative and underscored the importance of early engagement with key government institutions. He highlighted the role of the Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation, led by Haja Salima Monorma Bah, as well as the Office of the Permanent Secretary, in ensuring the platform’s successful implementation.

The Chief Minister further stressed the need to align the new system with existing government frameworks to guarantee its relevance and long-term sustainability. He noted that such integration would enhance the delivery of services, particularly to vulnerable and underrepresented communities.
