The Constitutional Review Committee (CRC) of the Sierra Leone DJs Union (SLeDU) has released submission guidelines for members and stakeholders as part of the review of the Union’s 2020 Constitution.

In a public notice dated May 1, 2026, the CRC invited registered members, regional branches, and stakeholders to submit written proposals and recommendations aimed at ensuring the Constitution reflects principles of good governance, transparency, accountability, inclusivity, and the long-term growth of the Union.

The Committee stated that submissions may include, but are not limited to, issues such as membership structure, rights and obligations; roles and powers of the Executive, National Advisory Council, Board of Directors and other organs; election procedures and tenure of office; financial management and accountability; disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution; regional and diaspora structures and representation; as well as any other provisions requiring clarification or amendment.

The CRC outlined three key guidelines for submissions:

Proposals must be clear, concise, and reference the specific article or section of the Constitution where applicable.

Submissions must include the full name, membership region, and contact details of the sender.

All submissions must be received no later than Saturday, 9th May 2026 at 5:00 PM.

Proposals can be submitted via the following channels:
