The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has introduced a revamped digital asset declaration platform aimed at making the process faster, simpler and more accessible to public officials.

ACC Coordinator of Operations, Patrick Sandi, said the Commission has collaborated with the Directorate of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI) to improve the platform ahead of the 2026 asset declaration exercise.

Speaking during the government weekly press conference on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the Miatta Civic Conference Center in Freetown, Sandi said public officers can now complete the declaration process in less than 10 minutes.

He said the Commission has also introduced a short code that allows declarants to access the service through their mobile phones, describing the reform as part of efforts to make asset declaration more convenient.

Sandi said asset declaration is a legal requirement under Section 119 of the Anti-Corruption Act, 2008, as amended, requiring public officials to declare their income, assets and liabilities.

He said the reforms form part of the Commission’s broader efforts to promote integrity in public life and strengthen compliance with the country’s anti-corruption laws.
