The Ministry of Technical and Higher Education has discredited a scholarship advertisement on Facebook that falsely claimed affiliation with the Ministry. The advertisement had utilized fake accounts, including those of government ministers, including the current Minister of Technical and Higher Education.

The Ministry described the said advertised scholarship as completely frivolous and have and have not been advertised by them.

The Ministry described such act as criminal in nature and warrant appropriate legal actions against the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, the Ministry urge every student who seeks to get factual information with regards scholarship advertisement by the ministry to do so by either accessing the Ministry’s Facebook page or website.
