Sierra Leonean musician Fynface has generated widespread discussion on social media after sharing an image of a house which he claimed was built largely through proceeds earned from his music career and related business ventures.

In a public statement, the artist stated that about 90 percent of the money used to build the property came directly or indirectly from music deals, endorsement contracts, event sponsorships, and professional connections developed throughout his career.

Fynface explained that he had secured four endorsement deals, benefited from several event sponsorships, and leveraged industry relationships, including support from musician and entertainment figure Kao Denero, to sustain his career since 2019.

According to the artist, the post was intended to motivate other musicians and demonstrate that financial success in the entertainment industry extends beyond music sales alone.

“Talent alone is not enough to make wealth from music,” he stated, encouraging artists to build their brands, expand their business interests, and explore additional income opportunities within the entertainment industry.

However, the post soon attracted criticism from several social media users, with some questioning the authenticity of the house image shared by the musician.

One commentator alleged that the image appeared to have been generated using artificial intelligence technology. The individual claimed to have conducted reverse image searches and utilized AI detection tools, which reportedly suggested that the image may have been created using ChatGPT or another artificial intelligence platform.

The critic further argued that the findings contradicted claims that the property had been constructed using income generated from music-related activities.

As of the time of publication, Fynface had not publicly responded to the allegations regarding the authenticity of the image. Independent verification of the claims made by both the artist and his critics has not been established.
