The National Film Awards is hosting its first-ever films awards to recognize excellence among professionals and nonprofessionals who have contributed to the Sierra Leone movie industry at the AYV Auditorium on the 29th of December. The awards ceremony seeks to connect and celebrate African filmmakers from across the country.  21 individuals and organizations will receive awards for their contributions to the movie industry.

At National Film Awards strongly believe that recognizing movie makers cannot only inspire the next generation of filmmakers but can impact a high-value chain of productive individuals, organizations, groups for global success in the movie industry across the continent.

NFA Unveils award

The National Film Awards (NFA) completed a two days master class on  22nd and the 23rd  December 2021.

“As part of our commitment as an awarding organization, we held a two days Masterclass to help capacitate film makes and also to help promote the culture of learning and better content production in the Sierra Leone Film industry”.

The master class was held at the Africell American corner in Freetown. The National Film Awards (NFA) don’t just Award, we promote, educate and empower.
