In a revealing court session two juveniles, Milford King and Nyakeh Lahai Kallon, appeared before Magistrate Sahr Kekura, facing serious allegations of burglary and theft that could significantly impact their futures.

The duo stood before magistrate Sahr Kekura at Pademba Road Court No.1 on charges of housebreaking and larceny contrary to Section 25(1) of Lerceny Act of 1916.

According to the charge statement, on March 3, 2025, at No 3 Kamara Drive, Milton Margai College Road, allegedly the defendants broke into the home of Amina Mans And stole a total of 4,000 new Leones in cash, property of Amina Mans.

In the second count against them same location, the accused are alleged to have entered the dwelling house of Sarika Kamara and stole several items, including an engagement ring valued at $200 (approximately 2,400 Leones), Apple Airpods worth 5200 (approximately 4,880 Leones), alarge tin of Vaseline aiued at 500 new Leones, an HP computer worth 5,000 new Leones, and a hard drive worth 2,440Leones.

The total value of item stolen amounted to 39,870 Leones.

When the chargers were read in court, neither defendant entered a plea.

Inspector M. Bangura presented witness testimony from Amina Mans, a businesswoman and mother of one of the accused.

She recounted receiving a call from her daughter, who informed her of the break-in while she was at work. Upon returning home, Mans discovered extensive damage, including a broken kitchen door and ransacked bedrooms, with various item stolen, including a church bag containing 3,000 new Leones.

Mans further reported finding a shirt that did not belong to her family on her bed. Concerned, she called her daughter to inform her son’s friend, George. When George arrived, he went to Milford King’s house and identified the shirt, leading to King’s arrest.

Mans subsequently reported the incident to the Adonkia Police Station providing a detailed statement.

During the proceedings, the defense counsel applied for bail for the accused.

Magistrate Kekura granted bail for Milford King in the sum of 100,000 Leones, wit one surety who must reside in the jurisdiction and provide a valid identification card, while bail was denied for Kallon.
