Sulaiman Koroma, a mechanic, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of fraudulent conversion, contrary to Section 20(1)(iv)(a) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

He made his first appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at the Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown.

According to the particulars of the offence, on Friday, 24th October 2025, at Lightfoot Boston Street in Freetown, the accused allegedly converted to his own use certain items that had been entrusted to him for safekeeping by one Alusine Koroma.

The items include one vehicle battery valued at Le 2,000 and two headlights valued at Le 800 each, amounting to a total of Le 3,600.

Prosecutor Sergeant 8811 Wilson informed the court of the prosecution’s intention for the matter to be tried summarily and requested a short adjournment to allow for the attendance of key prosecution witnesses and presentation of evidence.

Magistrate Fornah granted the application and adjourned the case to 10th November 2025 for further proceedings.

The accused, Sulaiman Koroma, was not represented by legal counsel at this stage of the trial.
