An Officer Service Division (OSD) police officer, Jeremiah Ndomahina, formerly attached to the Tankoro Police Divisional Headquarters in Koidu City, Kono District, has been dismissed from the Sierra Leone Police Service for stealing a motorbike on Gbondo Penny Penny Street in Koidu City.

According to a publication by A-Z Newspaper, this decision was made after Ndomahina was investigated by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the Complaint Discipline Internal Investigation Department (CDIID).

Komba Sourie, Information Officer at the Tankoro Police Divisional Headquarters, disclosed that the theft matter was reported at the Tankoro Police Station, which prompted the intervention of both the CID and the CDIID

Sourie further explained that once the CDIID completed its investigation, Ndomahina was charged to appear before a disciplinary court at the Tankoro Police Station. Following the disciplinary hearing, he was dismissed from the police service.

Subsequently, he was handed over to the CID, which filed charges against him at the Sefadu Magistrate Court, where he is currently undergoing trial as a civilian.
