Assistant Superintendent of Police (AIG) Brima Kanneh of the Regional Police Commander South recently orchestrated the apprehension of a prominent Kush dealer, following intelligence provided by officers from the Bo West Police Division.
The arrest underscores Kanneh’s commitment to an inclusive leadership approach, aiming to combat the proliferation of harmful drugs across the country. “My leadership remains steadfast in the ongoing fight against illicit drugs, aligning with the directives of the Inspector General of Police,” Kanneh affirmed.
David Wilson, a resident of 15 Seaay Street, Yemoh Town Bo, was intercepted at the Bo Kenema Highway Snap Checkpoint, positioned opposite Galliness Paradise Hotel. Upon a meticulous search by the deployed officers at the checkpoint, Wilson was found in possession of 151 sachets of Kush, 3 ounces, 1 electronic scale, and an undisclosed amount of unmeasured Kush. He was heading to Jenneh Gbado village in the Kenema District.
The suspect was operating a green vehicle registered as ASP 352 and admitted to his involvement in the Kush trade for several years. He acknowledged the Bo police’s adeptness in tracking him, crediting their use of advanced security measures.
