The youth-led organisation Chozen Generation Sierra Leone (CGSL) through a release issued on Thursday, December 2022 has honoured the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr. and nine others as the most outstanding Sierra Leoneans for 2021 following their remarkable contributions towards creating a positive change in the country in different facets of life.

Amb. Anthony Navo Jr. who bagged home the African Achievers Award Media Entrepreneur of the year in 2021 is also recognized by Chozen Generation Sierra Leone among the ten most outstanding Sierra Leoneans for creating the space for young people to exhibit and nurturing their talents, projecting the country’s image to the world through AYV which is now on DSTV Channel 399.

He is also the Chairman of one of Sierra Leone’s most successful football clubs East End Lions and the All Works Of Life (AWOL), he commenced his journey of investing in the media landscape with a Newspaper outlet, but due to his passion, he later took the adventure of using his private house as collateral to secure a loan of 1.2 Million dollars and transformed AYV into an enviable and one of the country’s biggest media institution, with a TV, Radio, Newspaper, Film, and outlet in the United Kingdom, and with direct and indirect employment of over five hundred staff capacity.

Amb. Anthony Navo Jr has recently launched the AYV academy and established the NAVOTEL Multi-purpose complex that gives a platform for young people to host entertainment events, while negotiations are ongoing establishing AYV in Ivory Coast, Gabon, and Benin.
