Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba Road Court No.1 Tuesday 23rd August 2022, remanded the accused Sallieu Conteh for allegedly carrying offensive weapons at Presidential Lodge.
The accused appeared before the Court for three count offenses of carrying offensive weapons without lawful authority, loitering with intent, and disobeying curfew contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.
According to the particulars of offenses on count one, on Thursday 11th August 2022 at Presidential State Lodge, Hill station in Freetown, the accused Sallieu Conteh was found carrying offensive weapons to wit one old cutlass and a knife without lawful authority or reasonable excuses.
While counts one and two added that the accused was found loitering with intent to commit a felony and disobeyed curfew from 12 midnight to 6 am.
The charges were read and explained to the accused person and pleaded not guilty on both counts of charges.
After reading the charges the magistrate discountenances that the third particulars of offense are not part of The aw.
However, the prosecution told the bench that his witness is absent and the accused person was sent to the male correctional center in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to the 26th August 2022 for further hearing, while Sergeant 9155 Dwight Macarthy prosecuting.
