Government Responds to Claims of Lithium Export From Sierra Leone

The Government of Sierra Leone, through the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources (MMMR) and the National Minerals Agency (NMA), has issued a firm denial regarding recent media claims that a company, Elektros (OTC PINK: ELEK), has exported lithium from Sierra Leone.

In a press release, both institutions clarified that these allegations are baseless and fraudulent.

The MMMR and NMA referenced multiple publications, including one in the Gleaner Newspaper dated 24th September 2024, and a report on a website finance. Yahoo. Com.

According to the official statement, there is no mining company called Elektros operating in the country, nor has any such company applied for a mining license.

Further investigation by the NMA confirms that no company has exported lithium from Sierra Leone, and none of the authorized companies exploring for lithium have commenced production.

The government stressed that all claims in the mentioned publications are entirely false, warning the public against engaging in any business related to mining or lithium with Elektros (OTC PINK: ELEK).

The MMMR and NMA have urged all stakeholders, including journalists and mining investors, to verify any claims related to mineral exports with the NMA before making any business decisions.
