Following the commencement of the Voters Registration exercise on Saturday 3rd September 2022, erstwhile National Women’s Leader of the governing Sierra Leone People’s Party( SLPP) Madam Fatmata Sawaneh has expressed her determination and preparedness to ensure His Excellency President Brig( Rtd) Julius Maada Bio wins the 24th June 2023 Presidential election without any runoff.

According to the former SLPP National Women’s Leader, Madam Fatmata Sawaneh, who was speaking to the Satellite in Freetown at the weekend, her stronghold on Kono District has always been having huge voter turnout for the SLPP through her sensitization campaign messages that focused on ensuring that the ruling party’s votes increased above 9,000 in Kono District.

She emphasised that despite internal challenges which they had always surmounted, the SLPP would ever remain grateful and loyal to its members and supporters, as well as to the country and the citizenry.

“My campaign in 2018 pulled over 90,000 votes for the party in Kono District and I will increase those votes come 24th June 2023,” she said.

Madam Sawaneh believes her capacity to serve women cannot be overemphasized stressing that this time round she is prepared to win the hearts and minds of not only women but men as well to vote for president Bio in particular and the SLPP in general.

The erstwhile National Women’s Leader encouraged party members and supporters to exercise their civic right to register and vote come 24th June 2023 national elections, for continuity of good governance
