Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, has addressed his meeting with ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan in relation to an invitation for a meeting with President Sierra Leone, H.E. Julius Maada Bio.

He emphasized the importance of truth, highlighting its role in propelling the nation forward and underscoring the detrimental effects of fake news on the country’s development.

Bah personally initiated a discussion with the prosecutor after his engagement with the president, which the prosecutor accepted. He emphasized that this dialogue aims to provide Sierra Leoneans with accurate information from the prosecutor.

He encouraged Sierra Leoneans to take pride in their country, noting that the president has made significant strides in the sustainable development of Sierra Leone.

Bah also emphasized that the prosecutor congratulated the president and the country for achieving a prestigious seat at the United Nations Security Council.

“Sierra Leoneans, let us be proud and hopeful. We have a country and president that has made us proud all over the world. I know a lot have happened but moment like this we need to come together as a nation and show love and appreciation for the country we love most” he summed up.
