The Ministry of Employment, Labour and Social Security has issued a public warning against two unlicensed recruitment agencies Taju Holdings Recruitment & Travel Agency and Malador Traveling Agency circulating job advertisements on social media.

According to the Ministry, the agencies claim to be recruiting bike riders, carpenters, welders, and housekeepers for a logistics company in Dubai. However, both agencies lack the required authorization and licensing from the Ministry to conduct legal overseas recruitment, in violation of Part II, Section 5 (1) of the Overseas Employment and Migrant Workers Act No. 12 of 2023.

The Ministry emphasized that over the years, it has been granting licenses only to agencies that meet the required standards to ensure safe, orderly, and regulated migration for Sierra Leoneans seeking employment abroad.

“The public is strongly advised not to engage with Taju Holdings Recruitment & Travel Agency and Malador Traveling Agency in any way,” the Ministry warned. “Anyone who does so is acting at their own risk.”

The Ministry further urged individuals to verify the operational license of any recruitment agency before entering into agreements or making payments.

The notice also serves as a stern warning that those who exploit or defraud job seekers will face the full force of the law
