The Managing Director at Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire, Dr. Ezekiel Duramany Lakkoh has opined that Samuel Wise Bangura does not involve in money laundering.

Bangura had claimed he was robbed on Monday afternoon of $7,000, iPhone 14 pro max, and other valuables. But a report and video from social media blogging platform, other sources say Bangura was engaged in fraudulent activities.

In defense of Samuel Wise Dr. Lakkoh states “If Samuel Wise was actually involved in money laundering, he would never have recorded the act. From the angle and proximity of the camera, it should be clearly understood that Samuel was aware of the recording, and with his level of exposure in investigative journalism, he never would have allowed a camera if it wasn’t an investigation.

Lakkoh is also the Dean of the Faculty of Management Services at the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), University of Sierra Leone, Founder and Chief Executive of JIT Capital, and now an official member of London Journal Press.

Meanwhile, the President of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ), Ahmed Sahid Nasralla has said that a viral video showing. AYV journalist, Samuel Wise Bangura engaging in money-doubling activities was part  of an investigation. Nasralla in a Twitter post tasked Bangura to publicly clarify his alleged involvement in the scheme.

The SLAJ President said he spoke with Bangura and that he denied the insinuation of the video. “He says the video of him doing rounds on social media currently was part of an investigation into money doubling scams he has been conducting for the past 2 months with his cameraman, J-Light,” Nasralla wrote. He further added that he has admonished the TV presenter to issue out a statement “immediately” to gain assurance of the general public
