The National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) has claimed to have wrongfully paid Millions of Leones to the Development Officer working for Christian Brothers Catholic Mission, named Aloysius Borbor Barbar who claimed that Amie Mary Tua is his wife that died and he has the ownership to claim her benefits, which NASSIT paid to him Millions of Leones.

On Monday 21st November 2022, NASSIT charged Aloysius Borbor Barbar to Court after he was. investigated and proven to be false. The accused appeared before Magistrate Mark Ngegba on an 84- count- charge, ranging from conspiracy to defraud contrary to law forgery contrary to Section 4 (1) of the Forgery Act of 1913, forged document contrary to Section 6 (1) of the Forgery Act 1913, making false statement contrary to Section 32 (1) (b) of National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) Act 2001, Act No.5 of 2001 furnishing false statement contrary to Section 32 (1) (b) of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust Act (NASSIT) Act 2001 and Act No.5 of 2001 and 79- count of causing money to be paid under false pretences, Contrary to Section 32 of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to to count 1. the accused Aloysius Borbor Barbar on a date unknown between 15th July 2019 and Tuesday 23rd February 2021, in Kakua Chiefdom, Bo Judicial District, Southern Province, with intent to defraud conspired together with another person unknown and defrauded National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) and obtained survivors benefit by forging certificates of Native Marriage.

Count 2 states that the accused on the same date and place with intent to defraud forged one certificate of Native Marriage with general receipt number 61272/09, purporting that it was prepared by the Bo District Council.

Count 3 further states that the accused on a date unknown between 15th July 2009 and Tuesday 31st December 2010, at the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) Regional Southern Office Bo, in Kakua Chiefdom, with intent to defraud altered one certificate of Native Marriage with general receipt number 61272/09, purporting that it was prepared by the Bo District Council. Count 4 states that the accused, Aloysius Borbor Barbar on Tuesday 14th August 2012, at the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) Regional office Bo in Kakua Chiefdom, with intent to defraud NASSIT made a false statement that Amie Mary Tua was his wife, which has proven to be false.

Count 5 states that the accused on 15th July 2019, at the National Social Security and Insurance Trust Regional Office in Bo, Kakua Chiefdom, with intent to defraud, furnished the National Social Security and Insurance Trust Act (NASSIT), that Amie Mary Tua was his wife with the pretext of claiming survivor’s benefits. which is known to be false.

On count 6 p to 84 the accused Aloysius Borbor Barbar on a date unknown between 1st November 2013 and 31st November 2019, at the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) Regional Office in, Kakua Chiefdom, fraudulently caused NASSIT to pay Eighty One Million, One Hundred and Twenty Three Thousand Leones to the accused, Aloysius Borbor Barbar who purported to be the legally wedded husband of the late Amie Mary Turay which is known to be false. Lawyer H.M Gevao Esq. is representing the accused who applied for bail by stating that the accused has returned the money to NASSIT.

Magistrate Mark Ngegba granted the accused bail for 200 Million Leones with two sureties and one of the sureties must produce a title deed and bail be approved by the Master and Registrar of the High Court. The matter was adjourned to 5th December 2022. Inspector Kadie Taylor is Prosecuting the matter.
