On Wednesday, 1st January 2025, the Police Wives Association of Mano River Division ushered in the New Year with a lively celebration and meeting at the Division’s Headquarters. This gathering brought together Police families, Senior Officers, and Community Stakeholders to foster unity and address pressing issues affecting their families and community.

The meeting was chaired by Madam Winifred Kpange, wife of the Local Unit Commander of Mano River Division, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Philip A. Kpange. She emphasized the importance of solidarity within the association, encouraging members to support their spouses’ professional roles while prioritizing family welfare.

Madam Marian Queen, a prominent figure in the association, provided updates on achievements and future goals. She called for sustained commitment to the association’s objectives, underscoring the critical role of Police Wives in maintaining harmony within their families and the wider community.

ASP Vamboi , the Division’s Support Officer, highlighted challenges in the Police Barracks, revealing that only six of the sixteen quarters are habitable due to fire damage, and the barracks lack a water supply. He urged collective efforts to address these pressing issues, aiming to improve living conditions for officers and their families.

Adding an international perspective, Madam Hawa, a guest from Liberia, commended the Association’s dedication to unity and family support. She inspired attendees with her call for continued collaboration among Police families across Borders.

CSP Philip A. Kpange, the Local Unit Commander of Mano River Division, praised the Police Wives Association for their unwavering support and significant contributions to the Division’s progress. He emphasized that strong family and community ties are essential for officers’ professional and personal stability.

The celebration ended on a joyous note with music, dancing, and refreshments, leaving attendees energized and optimistic for the year ahead. The meeting also served as a platform to discuss new initiatives, including welfare programs and social events aimed at strengthening bonds within the association.
