The town of Sumbuya in the Lugbu Chiefdom, Bo District, Southern Sierra Leone, is rejoicing as a deal has been finalized for the construction of a state-of-the-art police station in their community.

The fruition of this vital project was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Inspector General of Police, William Fayia Sellu, and the Regional Police Commander South, Brima Kanneh, both of whom played instrumental roles in facilitating the agreement.

The elated residents of Sumbuya expressed their joy and gratitude as the Sierra Leone Police partnered with the Pineapple Company STL to expedite the rehabilitation of the police station. This initiative, backed by the community, is set to transform the law enforcement landscape in the region.

His meticulous monitoring and strong leadership have been key drivers behind the success of various initiatives, earning support from the residents of the Southern region.

The rehabilitation of the police station is progressing swiftly, bringing immense joy to the Regional Commander and the dedicated police officers stationed in Sumbuya. Plans are also underway to assess other police stations and posts, identifying challenges and addressing them comprehensively, reflecting the commitment of law enforcement to ensuring the safety and security of the community.
