On his Facebook handle, he wrote:
“There’s no letup in the rain – for the third consecutive day. Thank you God for your provision. We need the rain for our crops and our flora and fauna and for other things beneath the earth. Many in some other parts of the world are praying for it but can’t get it.
My family and I thank you for we are safe and warm at home. But many others aren’t that fortunate. I pray God that you have mercy on them, especially the children. Many of them live in cold and appalling conditions. The basics are a luxury for them. Please provide for them. I have lived literally a stone’s throw from Freetown’s largest slum for 15 odd years. I know what they go through. And I can see what they’re going through as I type. Bad as it may be, it’s even worse in some other areas.
Please stay safe, my people. God didn’t give us this beautiful Freetown topography to punish us. So let’s refrain from the wrong ways we treat our environment and our surroundings. God bless you. 🙏”
