The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has ushered in a new era of leadership following the successful conduct of its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, in accordance with Article 8 (11 C) of its constitution.

The NEC, recognized as the second-highest decision-making body of the party, played a pivotal role in the reorganization process that led to the election of fresh national executive members.

At the helm of the new leadership is Harold Turay, who assumes the role of National Chairman and Leader, alongside a team of dedicated individuals committed to revitalizing the party’s policies and strengthening its political influence.

The reshuffle is expected to enhance internal governance, foster inclusivity, and position the party as a formidable force in both local and national political landscapes.

The newly constituted executive comprises a blend of seasoned politicians and emerging leaders, ensuring a balance of experience and fresh perspectives. The team includes Hassan B. Sesay as Deputy National Chairman and Leader, Saidu Kargbo as National Organizing Secretary, and Lynette Umu Bah as Assistant National Organizing Secretary. Other key appointments include Mohamed K. Kamara as National Treasurer, Madam Isatu Sowe as National Financial Controller, Madam Lucinda Kanneh as Regional Chairperson (West), and Abu Bakarr Bangura as National Secretary General.

With the party’s headquarters located at 152 Kissy Road, Up Gun Roundabout, the new leadership is expected to implement strategic reforms aimed at increasing grassroots engagement, strengthening party structures, and ensuring transparency and accountability in decision-making.

Under the stewardship of Harold Turay, the PDP is poised to navigate critical policy areas that resonate with its supporters while reinforcing its commitment to democratic values.

The newly elected executives have vowed to work collectively to promote policies that will drive national development and address pressing socio-political issues affecting the electorate.
