Renowned Leone Stars forward, Alhaji Kamara, has officially joined FC Midtjylland

The 29-year-old Sierra Leone international signed a two-year contract with the club, transitioning from Randers FC.

FC Midtjylland was particularly impressed by Kamara’s physical attributes, which were instrumental in their decision to acquire him. According to Football Director Peter Sand, “Kamara possesses exceptional physical strength, offering qualities that are currently lacking in our team. While there is intense competition for attacking positions, it is crucial to reinforce our squad with the attributes we have identified as deficient.”

Head Coach Thomas Thomasberg, who has firsthand knowledge of Kamara from their time together at Randers, echoed Sand’s sentiments. He stated, “We are acquiring a player who adds a new dimension to our team through his physical presence and goal-scoring prowess in the penalty area. Kamara has the ability to transform matches.”

Kamara is set to join the first team’s preparations in Portugal shortly, eagerly anticipating this new chapter in his footballing journey. He expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This is a tremendous opportunity for me. Having observed Midtjylland in the Superliga, I recognize it as a prominent club contending for titles. It serves as a significant motivator.”

Kamara acknowledged his previous association with Thomasberg at Randers FC, emphasizing their familiarity. He conveyed his confidence in his abilities and eagerness to meet his new teammates during the training camp.
