Diamond Stars Football Club has issued a statement addressing the resignation of their former coach, Tito Cole.

Cole, who has been under contract with the club for three seasons with his current contract set to expire in 2025, submitted his resignation letter last week accusing club management of breach of contract.

In its statement, the management of Diamond Stars FC expressed disappointment in Cole’s manner of resignation, labeling it as disrespectful and indicative of a lack of regard for the club’s protocols. They dismissed Cole’s allegations as baseless and aimed at tarnishing the club’s reputation.

Since his appointment as a coach of the club, he has never gone without his salary being paid to him and his directives being met to support him deliver the necessary results. The club wants to categorically state that coach Tito Cole still has a contract with us which has not been run out. We consider his act an insubordination and lack of professionalism” the management stated.

Meanwhile, the Management further allayed the concerns of their fans that the team is still in safe hands and assured all of a better performance in the second phase of the Leone Rock Premier League.

As the team prepares for the second leg of the premier league, the management announce that Issa Conteh who is the assistant coach- 1 is the new caretaker head coach of the team until a new coach is pronounced.
