Ibrahim Junior Parade Koroma, speaking to NewsFeed Sierra Leone, stated that the foundation is a manifestation of the promise he made during the funeral of the late Lamin Junior Tumbu Conteh who he also referred to as his twin brother “Sierra Leone as a football-loving nation we have had several legends gone before Tumbu and today we can’t keep their legacies anymore, but as someone who shared the bitter and sweet moment including after football with the late man I have vowed that his memories will always remain alive, and I have got the support of his wife and children, the former Leone Stars team manager Christian Dauda that provided the medals and the trophy and many others in the list” he disclosed.

He continued that the executive of the foundation will be unveiled before the launch next year and while it will focus on helping the less privileged children “when Tumbu was alive he used to share with me every bit of his plans and one of them as someone very generous is to help the children in the streets and the less privilege but now that he is no more the foundation is going to continue with the same path to fulfill his dreams” Junior Parade added.

Ambassador Joe Blell is regarded as the father of the late Junior Tumbu and was the one who convinced him to play for Old Edwardians during his reign as Chairman of the club disclosed that the turnout is a reflection of how kind-hearted the late Junior Tumbu was among his colleagues “I was the one that was able to make him buy a house for his mother, the late Junior Tumbu was kind-hearted he can give all that he has if Junior Tumbu was saving what he was earning then he should have been a multi-millionaire, however, we have vowed to give our best to this foundation to keep his legacies” he affirmed.
