A young student from Milton Margai Technical University (MMTU), Salamatu Sesay was discovered dead under suspicious circumstances in the early hours of Saturday, January 10, 2026.
The body of Salamatu, also known as Salma Sesay, was found in an unfinished building in Peter Lane, Marjay Town, a residential area, very close to her residence in Freetown.
According to sources close to the investigation, the discovery of Sesay’s body has raised concerns over potential foul play. Local residents were left in shock and grief as they learned of the brutal death, which has since prompted an immediate response from the Sierra Leone Police. Authorities cordoned off the area as they launched a full-scale investigation into the incident.
