The humanitarian organization GOAL-SALONE has officially handed over a new water supply facility to the Trauma Holding Centre located on the Bo-Taiama Highway in the Mokaba section of Kori Chiefdom.
The donated infrastructure includes a newly constructed tap water system and two 5,000-litre water tanks. The facility is expected to provide a reliable source of clean water for the medical center and the surrounding community.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health, the Country Director of GOAL-SALONE, the Paramount Chief of Kori Chiefdom, the Mokaba Section Chief, and the Principal of Taiama Secondary School.

During the event, the Deputy Minister of Health commended GOAL-SALONE for its continued investment in community welfare and public health.
According to the organization, this project is part of a broader effort to improve water access in the region. GOAL-SALONE reports that it has established over 700 water taps and borehole facilities across the Moyamba, Kailahun, and Kenema districts to date.

Local leaders expressed gratitude for the project, noting that improved water access is critical for the effective operation of the trauma center and the general health of local residents.
