A High Court judge in Freetown, Leonard Taylor, has directed reality TV star Babina Simeon, widely known as Lolo Simeon, to take part in all promotional activities for the upcoming House of Stars Season 3.
The ruling follows a legal battle between Simeon and the show’s Chief Executive Officer, Valentine Mark King, which was heard at the Fast Track and Admiralty Court in Freetown.
Simeon had earlier dragged King to court, arguing that she was under no obligation to participate in promotional campaigns for the third season. She also sought an interim injunction to restrain King’s company, Kings Empire, from launching the new season.
However, after considering arguments from both sides, Justice Taylor dismissed her application, stating that the court found insufficient legal grounds based on the evidence presented. He subsequently ordered Simeon to fully comply with her promotional duties linked to the show.
The decision clears the way for the highly anticipated third season to proceed without legal hindrance.
Simeon, who won House of Stars Season 2, has remained a central figure in the show’s success. However, tensions between her and the organisers became public last year when she accused the show’s management of failing to meet their obligations to her as the winner. She alleged that prizes promised, including a car and a house were substandard, further claiming she had spent a significant amount of her own money renovating the house provided.

The court’s ruling now sets the stage for the rollout of Season 3, unfolding against the backdrop of an increasingly strained and highly publicised standoff between the House of Stars franchise and its embattled CEO, Valentine Mark King.
