Meet Bai Kandeh Turay, Sierraloaded Man Crush for the third Week in November.
Bai Turay is an hardworking man, who is also the Admin Assistant, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences. He is also called by the name, Obasanjo. Like millions out there, he went through hard hurdles but pulled through such with tenacious stoicism. He is a true definition of hard work, patience and perseverance.
Bai lost his parents before age 10 and since then, he was left with no option but to fend for himself. Life became so hard for him to the point that he had to take up menial jobs like: House boy, transport conductor, cinema caretaker, errand boy, etc. just to survive.
But despite the hard hurdles, he did not allow the turbulence blur his academic focus. With his passion and zeal for education, Turay saved up from the little he gathered from his menial jobs to fund his education. He individually sponsored his going to primary school, his secondary and unto university. He pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication at the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.
During his studies at the Mass Communication, Turay worked at the University of Sierra Leone secretariat, worked for Radio Mount Aureole, became class representative from year one to final year and became President of the Mass Communication Student’s Association (MACOSA FBC). He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.
Today he is the Assistant Admin of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences.
