During a significant meeting convened to address alarming allegations of cannibalism within Luawa chiefdom in Kailahun District, Paramount Chief Mohamed Sama Kailondo Banya emphasized the importance of peace and security in his jurisdiction.

During his address, Chief Banya, who has served over 20 years in his role, firmly stated that such heinous acts had never occurred in the chiefdom during his tenure. He issued a strict warning to all local chiefs, threatening indefinite suspension for anyone found involved in these alleged activities.
The ONS representative commended Chief Banya for taking proactive measures and condemned the alleged acts as inhumane, urging all community members to refrain from such behavior. The Support Officer from the Kailahun Police Division reiterated the commitment to law enforcement, asserting that the law would be rigorously applied against anyone found guilty of cannibalism.
In a show of solidarity, the section and town chiefs present pledged their commitment to maintaining peace and security across their localities, reinforcing the community’s resolve to reject violence and uphold human dignity.
