Road commuters are calling on the Sierra Leone Roads Authority and the Road Maintenance Fund to address the deteriorating conditions of the road between Ferry Junction and Bomeh Dump Site, as large potholes have led to severe traffic congestion, particularly during the morning rush hours.

Frustrated commuters expressed that the situation has reached a breaking point. “Our institutions continue to treat us with total disregard,” one commuter stated. A small section of the road has become so neglected that heavy traffic jams are now a daily occurrence. Ordinary citizens, including civil servants, schoolchildren, and petty traders, are left to endure the frustrating delays.

Many believe that the road has been overlooked because it is rarely used by high-ranking politicians. Commuters are urging the Sierra Leone Roads Authority and the Road Maintenance Fund to prioritize repairs and restore the road to a safe and usable condition for all.
