Popular stand-up comedian Yemata and Sierra Leonean DJ Min-1 recently visited Baimba Moiforay, alias LAC, a renowned herbalist and convicted alleged murderer of DJ Clef (Sydney David Buckle), a popular Sierra Leonean disc jockey.
LAC, who was convicted for DJ Clef’s brutal murder, is currently in Ghana after fleeing Sierra Leone following his controversial release from prison
A video circulating online captures the moment Comedian Yemata and DJ Min-1 visited LAC, during which he expressed appreciation for their visit by presenting them with gifts.
.Notably, LAC gifted Yemata a $50 ice watch, to which Yemata responded: “On behalf of Salone, I appreciate it.”
This remark has sparked widespread criticism, with many Sierra Leoneans condemning Yemata for suggesting he represented the country.
One commenter, “Anger Citizen,” issued a strong warning, stating that Sierra Leone did not send him.
The video has fueled public outrage, with many accusing Yemata and DJ Min-1 of betraying DJ Clef’s memory. DJ Min-1, who is a member of the Artists for Peace, has faced particular backlash for associating with LAC.
For many, the resurfacing of LAC’s presence serves as a painful reminder of DJ Clef’s murder and the failure of the justice system to ensure accountability.
