The First Lady of Sierra Leone, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, officially unveiled the National Commission for Children’s Strategic Plan 2024-2028.

This comprehensive roadmap is designed to elevate the well-being and opportunities of Sierra Leone’s children over the next five years, with a keen focus on pivotal sectors such as education, healthcare, child protection, and advocacy for child rights.

During the launch ceremony, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio emphasized the crucial role of investing in children, stating, “Our children are not just our future but also our present. By providing them with essential resources and opportunities, we are laying the groundwork for a stronger, more prosperous Sierra Leone for all.

The National Commission for Children (NCC), established in 2007, plays a pivotal role in championing and safeguarding children’s rights in Sierra Leone. The newly unveiled strategic plan, a result of extensive consultations with stakeholders, is poised to guide the NCC in achieving its objectives for the betterment of Sierra Leone’s youngest citizens.
