He went on to state that after the contract termination, all lecturers who are qualified can reapply to continue serving the institution in its new upgrade.

The Chancellor further disclosed that they would be charging university fees for them to be able to pay the benefits of all lecturers who have served the institution. He however, noted that might not go down well with everyone.

According to, Dr. Kabbia the decision to charge for University fees is to avoid the delay that comes with having to wait for the government for payments.

Earlier this year, several lecturers of the university were found guilty of different forms of malpractice, which included sex for grades, compromise, and attempting to influence the grades of students in different departments. According to Dr. Kabbia, these lecturers’ contracts will be immediately terminated.
