The National Commission for Social Action (NACSA) is set to train 3,500 individuals in Green Public Works.

This training will involve environmental specialists, monitoring and evaluation team members, and grievance redress mechanism representatives.

The program has been officially launched, with 3,500 Sierra Leoneans aged between 18 and 35 years expected to benefit by participating in the Green Public Works (GPW) sub-component of the PSSNYE project.

This green skills project is being conducted in several provincial cities, including Makeni, Bo, Port Loko, Kenema, New Sembehun, and the Bo City Council, ensuring broad regional coverage.

The project fosters a community-driven and participatory approach, encouraging young Sierra Leoneans to improve their local environment through productive public works. Additionally, beneficiaries will receive life skills training that prepares them for future employment and personal development.
