Three international football scouts two from Spain and one from South Africa attracted by Luawa Football Club and arrived in Freetown last week have stated that they are impressed with the development of football in Sierra Leone following the climax of a three-day recruitment trial held at the Murray Town School Compound
The trial which featured over seventy-five players from Western Area ranging from different categories was primarily meant for players of Luawa FC, but due to Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai Esq. generosity the club’s Ch Bnief Executive Officer and commitment to transforming the lives of the youths, extended the platform to other top-tier clubs and also partner with the Western Area Football Association (WAFA) for both division one and two teams to benefit from the trial
During his brief remarks, at the climax of the three-day trial that featured players from other premier league clubs including East End Lions FC, and Lamboi FC among others one of the Spaniard scouts Jorge Forster Muller asserted that “We have identified some players and we will bring them to Spain” he assured the players selected.
Jorge Forster Muller who is from Valencia went further to express how they are overwhelmed with the progress of football in Sierra Leone “We are surprised at the high standard of football in SL” he added.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai Esquire has also received commendations from the Union of Premier League Clubs Sierra Leone for his goodwill gesture Chairman and Owner of East End Tigers FC and a founder member of the UPLC Victor Lewis ascribed that “It’s indeed a great privilege and show of unity amongst clubs. We are entirely grateful” he gratified.
