A recent poll conducted by Sierraloaded has predicted that the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Samura Kamara will win the 24 June polls by a landslide.

The poll was conducted on Twitter with participants asked who they will vote for as President on Saturday among Kamara, the incumbent Julius Maada Bio and other candidates.

Out of the 1,179 pollsters, 65 percent chose the APC Candidate over the incumbent SLPP candidate with 27 percent. Other candidates received a combined 8 percent.

This recent poll is in negation with earlier polls conducted by other organisations in the weeks leading to the elections.

Some of the polls suggested that the election could head into a run-off because both the incumbent and main opposition lack the ability to muster the 55 percent needed to win the first round.

With barely hours to the polls, both the APC and SLPP have posited that they will win on first ballot.
