The Head Coach of the Sierra Leone national football team, Mohamed Kallon, has successfully convinced Manchester City’s rising star, Juma Bah, to represent the Leone Stars in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Guinea Bissau and Egypt.

The confirmation was made by State House Communications Director, Myk Berewa, signaling a major boost for the national team ahead of the crucial fixtures.

Bah, who was initially signed from Sierra Leone by Spanish club Real Valladolid, was later acquired by Manchester City earlier this year. The Premier League giants subsequently loaned him to RC Lens in France’s Ligue 1, where he has been gaining valuable first-team experience.

Coach Kallon, a former Leone Stars captain and one of Sierra Leone’s most celebrated footballers, has been actively engaging with players of Sierra Leonean descent to strengthen the national team.

Securing Juma Bah’s commitment is seen as a strategic move to enhance the squad’s competitiveness on the international stage.

With the qualifiers fast approaching, football fans across the country are eager to see how Bah’s inclusion will impact the team’s performance. Leone Stars will face Guinea Bissau and Egypt in what promises to be highly competitive encounters as they seek a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
