Air Sierra Leone has taken a significant step in strengthening its corporate social responsibility efforts by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Orphan Empowerment Society Sierra Leone (TOES-SL), targeting support for vulnerable children and underserved communities across the country
The agreement positions the airline as an active partner in humanitarian development, aligning its operations with initiatives that promote social impact and community upliftment.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Finance Executive Abu Richard Larkoh, who represented the airline on behalf of GCOO Sukhjinder Mann, underscored the importance of private sector involvement in national development.
“At Air Sierra Leone, we believe businesses have a responsibility to contribute to the communities they serve. This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting initiatives that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives,” he stated.
For TOES-SL, the collaboration is seen as a strategic boost to its ongoing efforts in child advocacy and welfare. National Coordinator Alie Conteh highlighted the value of such partnerships in expanding the organization’s reach and impact.
“Working with institutions like Air Sierra Leone enhances our capacity to support vulnerable children and drive positive change across communities,” he noted.
The event was attended by key representatives from both institutions, including TOES-SL’s Program and IT Officer Mohamed G. Conteh and Communications Officer Aruna S. Kamara, as well as Air Sierra Leone’s Communications Executive Rashidatu Umarr.
This partnership signals a shared vision between the two entities to foster sustainable development, strengthen humanitarian responses, and create opportunities for disadvantaged children and youth nationwide.
