The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Babadi Kamara, traveled to Kenema to join family members, friends, and members of the football community in paying final respects to the late J. S. Keifala.
The solemn gathering brought together mourners from different walks of life to honor the memory of a man widely recognized for his contribution to football administration and public service in Sierra Leone.
The late Keifala previously served as Vice President and Acting President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, and also held office as Mayor of the Kenema City Council.

A deep sense of emotion surrounded the farewell ceremony as tributes continued to pour in for the former football administrator and civic leader.
Many remembered Keifala for his dedication, humility, and commitment to the development of both football and his community.
During the ceremony, SLFA President Babadi Kamara stood among mourners in a show of respect and solidarity with the bereaved family and the people of Kenema.

His presence reflected what observers described as both official recognition and personal appreciation for the late Keifala’s contribution to the growth of football in the country.
According to the account shared by the Sierra Leone football community, President Kamara paid tribute to Keifala as “a true servant of football and society,” acknowledging the lasting impact of his leadership and service over the years.

The late J. S. Keifala is being remembered as one of the notable figures to have contributed to football governance in Sierra Leone while also serving his community through public office.
Mourners at the ceremony said his legacy would continue to inspire future generations in both sports and public service.
The funeral ceremony in Kenema concluded with prayers and final tributes as family members, football stakeholders, and residents gathered to bid farewell to the former SLFA leader and former mayor.
