On Friday, February 9th, the community celebrated the inauguration of a life-changing Borehole project, spearheaded by Dr. Richard Konteh, leader of the Unifier Movement and a prominent figure in the APC party.

For years, residents of Kukuna faced the harsh reality of water scarcity, struggling with health risks and daily hardships due to limited access to clean drinking water. This critical challenge, however, was met head-on by Dr. Konteh and his dedicated team.

The Borehole project’s inauguration marked a momentous occasion, symbolizing the fulfillment of a fundamental human right and a new era for the community.

The ceremony, held on February 9th, was filled with jubilation as the ceremonial ribbon was cut and the first streams of clean water flowed from the borehole. This marked a victory, not just for infrastructure development, but for the power of collective action and unwavering compassion.

“This project is more than just a borehole,” expressed Dr. Konteh. “It’s a lifeline for our community, a promise of better health, and a chance for a brighter future.”

The Borehole project’s impact is undeniable. It alleviates the burden of water scarcity, improves health outcomes, and empowers the community towards greater resilience. This initiative serves as a beacon of hope, not just for Kukuna, but for other marginalized communities across Sierra Leone striving for progress.
