The Ambassador of Sierra Leone to the People’s Republic of Guinea, Alimamy Bangura over the weekend rescued about 28 children aged between two to ten years, who were recaptured from their trafficking captors in Guinea.
Their rescue followed a series of raids and intelligent reports targeting the human traffickers.
The traffickers are all Sierra Leonean women, and according to statements obtained from them by the Gendarmes in Conakry, Guinea, they were trafficking the children to Mali, where they would be displayed as wares to be sold to potential buyers.
According to the ambassador, this happens to be the largest number of trafficked kids being recaptured from their predators, adding that it is a shame for Sierra Leone since it is a common occurrence.
The Ambassador during the handing-over ceremony, blamed poor security networking that failed to intercept the women, who are ten in all, as they used various bypass routes to enter Guinea with stolen kids.
The rescue children are said to currently be in the protective custody of the police at Gbalamuya checkpoint ready to be transported to Freetown on the instruction of the Inspector-General of Police.
It was stated that a public notice will be issued by the Sierra Leone police alerting parents and guardians who have lost their kids over the period, to contact the police for identification. All ten ladies are also in the police custody awaiting prosecution.
Unbelievable! Please have these women brought back to home to face the law and give them life sentences.
I believe those women barrian women because any woman that carry a baby approximately 9 to 10 month can not do such a thing. I recommend they should be removed from this universe permanently in order to serve as a warning for anyone else who tries such a thing. God forsaking bastard.these are pregnancy that their mothers mistakenly give birth to. Inorder to think of taking care of their families they are there trafficking People’s childrens nonsense.
