Sierra Leone’s Deputy Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, Umaru Napoleon, delivered an inspiring message of unity and progress for the nation after the post-election Dialogue between the Government and APC.

He shared the heartwarming experience of political parties coming together and the nation’s triumph in the dialogue.

Napoleon emphasized, “The Dialogue was all about Sierra Leone, and guess what? Sierra Leone won! Isn’t that amazing? We’re definitely making progress and moving forward.

He highlighted a touching moment of unity, where rival parties, the APC and SLPP, shared water and groundnuts during the discussions, demonstrating the potential for cooperation.

He remarked, “Despite all the comments and hate messages we have thrown at each other, something magical happened today. When we were locked in that room, it was just us, the APC and SLPP parties. And you know what we did? We shared water and groundnuts without any hesitation. It was a genuine moment of unity, and I can’t help but feel inspired to build on that. So let’s not let those who hate the progress of our nation discourage us. We’ve got this!”

In conclusion, he expressed gratitude to the African Union (AU), the Commonwealth, and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) for facilitating the dialogue, Napoleon commended President Bio for his commitment to national unity. He also thanked Dr. Samura and his team, as well as Dr. David Sengeh and their respective teams, while expressing appreciation for the people of Sierra Leone.

Napoleon’s message serves as a testament to the country’s dedication to progress and the importance of working together for a brighter future, despite political differences.
