Former Leone Stars goalkeeper Mohamed Nbalie Kamara is weighing up his next career move after contract renewal talks with Tanzanian Premier League side Pamba Jiji reportedly reached a deadlock.

Kamara confirmed in an interview with Inside Salone that his contract with Pamba Jiji expired at the end of the recently concluded season. He disclosed that negotiations over a new deal have stalled, citing disagreements over salary and other contractual terms.

The experienced shot-stopper is currently on vacation in Sierra Leone and is understood to be open to offers from clubs seeking his services ahead of the new season.

Kamara has established himself as one of Sierra Leone’s finest goalkeepers in recent years, earning widespread recognition for his performances with the Leone Stars.

His most memorable display came during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, where he produced a series of remarkable saves to deny defending African champions Algeria in a goalless draw. Kamara made seven saves in the encounter, earning the Man of the Match award and cementing his status as one of Sierra Leone’s standout performers at the tournament.

His impressive AFCON performances secured him a move from East End Lions FC to Guinean powerhouse Horoya AC before he later continued his career in Tanzania, where he has played ever since.

With negotiations at Pamba Jiji at a standstill, attention now turns to where the Sierra Leone international will continue his career as he explores new opportunities in the transfer market.
