Justice Abdul J. Sheriff of Port Lokot High Court on Thursday, 30 March 2023, sentenced Alusine Kargbo to life imprisonment for murder.
The accused was arraigned before Court on 31st January 2022, for stabbing and murdering Alusine Kargbo of Marampa Chiefdom (Lunsar).
After the charges were read to him in Court, the Accused pleaded not guilty.
The defence lawyer also pleaded with the judge to temper justice with mercy; noting that the accused has learnt his lesson and hopes to be a better citizen thereafter.

Meanwhile, after a series of cross-examinations on the matter, the accused was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment.
Justice Abdul J Sheriff convicted the accused on one count charge of Murder contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.
